Cre8 Joinery Solutions completes work on two key City developments

Sun, 2015-12-13

Cre8 Joinery Solutions is wrapping up 2015 with the completion of some impressive fit out work at two key London locations and refurbishment projects.

Eleventh Church of Christ

The first bit of news is that our long-term joinery and fit out work at the Eleventh Church of Christ, located in Chad Street in London, is drawing to a close.

Cre8 Joinery Solutions has been working on this modern development of the Eleventh Church of Christ, Scientist London for some time, but it is finally nearing completion after many months of hard graft by the Cre8 Joinery team.

The Chad Street church complex is set within a relatively modern building. IT integrates contemporary architectural design and features alongside some traditional facets and the high-quality joinery for which we are renowned – including thematic timber elements that are a central feature of the development.

The new space has been designed to be multi use. With completion imminent, it will address and facilitate a variety of needs. These include meeting all the demands of a church and its congregation, a Sunday School, a reading room and general office facilities, but all within one development and within one building; the space with all its elements must contribute to the whole, but also be versatile enough to accommodate each of the numerous demands of the development.

The main church space is a large downstairs area. This is also the main part of the site and as such it houses storage, seating, fittings and fitments all in line with the church, Sunday school and reading room uses; offices are upstairs.

View the photos,
watch the video

You’ll not only be able to view our still images from this project – but also, for the first time, watch a time-lapse video of our joinery work being undertaken.

At Cre8 Joinery Solutions we have been working alongside the creative agency US3 Media Ltd and its in house photographer Doug Harman to produce a set of images and a time-lapse movie encompassing the entire duration of the build – with the latter focusing mainly on the larger downstairs church space.

We’ll post a link to the time-lapse footage and final imagery here in due course – so please do check back on this website or our officual Cre8 Joinery YouTube channel. In the meantime, please do take the time to view our ‘in progress’ images that give an insight into the project from inception to near completion. So with just days until the completion of the build, watch this space for more details and a final look at the finished project.

5 Bond Street for contractor/client PPC London

Working closely with proven high end design and build main contractor PPC London, Cre8 Joinery Solutions were briefed to take on the design ideas of leading Architects CPMG. The goal was to deliver professionally implemented joinery work to the highest of standards for end client John Pye & Son auction house, Old Bond Street, London.

Utilising their knowledge and skill set gained over many years of on-the-job experience, the whole team delivered a very high quality project in budget and on time. The extensive set of works included high end traditional raised and fielded removable wall panels, plus jewellery display units all finished in heritage colours.

The over panels to these display units were made inconspicuously removable to facilitate specialist lighting and security components. The same panel detail was used to produce and sympathetically enclose the existing FCU heaters, with CNC routered grooves and flute mouldings fashioned to fit within the old style of a building in Bond Street.

Thanks to a cleverly designed removable panel, all heaters also remain accessible for maintenance. Cre8 Joinery Solutions also worked on the fitting of central rectangular display units and stone veneer plinth bases with mitred access doors on secret touch latches – all designed to facilitate central power supply.

Other aspects of the Bond Street job that we are particularly proud of included toughened glass top cases with slide out, soft close, cushioned drawer bases. LED lighting has been incorporated within the design to illuminate jewellery.

Designed to show-off goods for auction in the most appealing fashion, the fit out has also included the installation of circular display cases for the pre-auction private viewing area. These feature circular silk-clad bases. We’ve additionally used the very best available high-grade optical acrylic to fabricate a ‘flame polished’ top display section.

Plenty to catch the eye

A very eye catching feature of the development has included the fitting of curved laser cut brass divider screens to form a stunning visual backdrop to the viewing area.

Liquid metal finish, brass framed pivot doors with toughened glass form a privacy screen that can be fully open or fully closed to suit viewing requirements.

Cre8 Joinery Solutions very own exclusive store wall design – named ‘Qubewall’ – has also been installed in the boardroom, finished off strikingly in back painted white toughened Duraglas – another Cre8 Joinery trademarked product that provides an elegant and stylish finishing touch to this extensive and prestigious fit out project.
